About me

I have worked in every level of retail from service assistant to store manager starting from the age of 16, after 12 years of my life dedicated to retail I decided a change of career was needed, into one that I’m very passionate about and find highly rewarding. One where I can give my love, care and attention to the welfare and quality of lives of our beloved family pets.

Experience

Throughout my life I have cared for family and friends dogs and cats until I could have one of my very own. At the age of 21 Ossie came into my life at 7 weeks old, a German Shepherd x Husky (40kg) who sadly passed at the age of 8 October 2024.

My experience is of dogs like Ossie that had severe seperation anxiety and joint weakness’ who require extra attention, balanced and monitored exercise to ensure they are safe and have the best quality of life, despite having degenerative injuries or other needs. Ossie went through various tests and scans at the age of 4 to find out he has Carpal Arthritis, Osteophytes & hyperextension in both front paws.

Throughout his life he was treated with monthly Librella injections which I administered from home, attends hydrotherapy sessions, Physiotherapy and his lifestyle and exercise was adjusted to provide him a pain free, high quality (spoilt) life, just like any other pup.

Ossie’s Walks is a fully insured pet service that offers dog walking adventures and pet sitting within your home, all through Protectivity Insurance. Along side a DBS and canine first aid training you can feel assured your pet is in safe hands.

I know first hand how hard it can be to find a trustworthy service to invite into your home and care for your beloved animals. Which is why trust, communication, welfare and quality of life are the values at the heart of my service.

Services – Dog Walking

I provide tailored care, love and adventure to all dog(s) I am responsible for as though they were my own.

I can accommodate individual requirements from timings, walking surface, distance, on/off lead, pick ups, drop offs and more, arrangments made upon initial meet and greet.

Services – Home Visits

Care, love and belly rubs for your dog(s) or cat(s) within the comforts of their own home.

Care will be tailored to individual needs, care plan arranged upon meet and greet session.

Availability on weekends and School holidays for all my services, fees may vary for peak times.

Meet & Greet

Free

Initial meet & greet, approximately 30 mins. An opportunity for me to meet you and your beloved pets, discuss any needs or requirements for tailored care, answer any questions, arrange pick ups, drop offs and more

1 Hour Walks

1 Hour walk in the countryside with up to five other dogs from another household.

Walk times may vary depending on welfare or extreme weather.

£14 – 1 Dog
£22 – 2 Dogs £30 – 3 Dogs +£6 – Weekends & Bank Holidays

Wedding Chaperone

Tailored package arranged upon meet & greet, can include the following and more

Pre wedding walk

Transport to & from venue

Pet Sitting

Tailored care for your dog(s) in the comfort of their own home, care package arranged upon meet & greet.

Peace of mind whilst you are away from home that your beloved pup has home comforts, unconditional love, 24 hour care in their own, safe environment, reducing stress and anxiety while their human is away. Must be good on group walks and able to be left for up to three hours.

Solo Walks

Solo walks tailored for dogs that require 1-1 care and attention, from nervous to reactive, puppy to senior or any other specific needs.
Care plan arranged upon meet and greet.

Home Visits

Tailored care for dog(s) & cat(s) in the comfort of their own home. From feeding, watering, love, belly rubs, mental stimulation, toilet breaks, short walks from home and more.
Care plan arranged upon meet & greet.

Upon request I can accommodate alternative timings.

Hayleigh has been walking our energetic and boisterous Dalmatian Toby for the last year and a half and it’s probably the best thing we’ve done for him. He absolutely loves his walks with Hayleigh and we know he’s in great hands every week.

Hayleigh’s been so patient with Toby and his weekly group walks have massively helped his social skills. Hayleigh is always so helpful and regularly is able to help with last minute unexpected requests and will go the extra mile to help, including coming to our wedding next year to look after Toby.
